When in doubt go bold

Jeans: Old Navy / Blouse: Forever 21 (similar here and here)  / Shoes: Michael Kors (option) / Clutch: Target / Watch: Michael Kors / Bracelet & Necklace: Forever 21

This pants were one of those it's on sale impulse buys and sometimes I wonder if I knew what I was buying when I clicked add to cart, but then again, I tell myself I live in Florida and if there is one place you can rock this pants is down here, most of the snowbirds still have palm trees on their sofas from the 60's so they won't judge, right? And for the younger people I made sure to keep everything else plain and simple, like this cream blouse with a crochet accent, brown espadrilles and a matching clutch, so it wouldn't be too much.

This are the first pictures I have attempted to take by myself, they are a work in progress and I there is much to learn, but I have to admit that I am pretty pleased with the way they came out, for a first try chopping my feet of the frame is seriously not bad at all. BTW I don't own a tripod for this camera, as we use my mother's for the pictures, so between a box and a wooden spoon from my kitchen I do deserve a pat in the back.

For those of you not so lucky to have a photographer in the family, how do you manage, please share your tips.

    1. That's the good thing about Florida, we might not have a great winter, but we can wear palm trees all year round, right?

  4. Oh those pants make me want to be on a beach resort! Such a breath of fresh air in the winter!
For the longest time I just bought a little tripod for my iPhone and used a timer app! The lighting is awful in my house so taking pics in mirrors were not an option, unfortunately! You totally can't tell there was a wooden spoon involved in these photos! Good job! :)
